Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the wild west in an awesome game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the house, not like the majority of other poker games that gamblers bet against other players. By competing against the dealer, starting players don’t need to be concerned about any other, more knowledgeable individuals taking their $$$$.

Another Pai Gow advantage is the generally leisurely game pace, newcomers should be able to take their time and strategize while not needing to make hasty decisions.

It is also easier to enjoy for a very long time with basically a little amount of cash since, to lose, each of your hands has to be lower than both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and one joker. The player is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the dealer is dealt seven cards face down.

A five card hand and a 2 card hand must be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
