Gus Hansen enjoyed a marvelous year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only participant to make it to the closing game in three of the events. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You may remember one of the biggest pots in high stakes poker recorded history against Daniel Negreanu. He won a massive pot with 4 of a kind against Negreanu’s full house. Gus has made many televised poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the greatest bettors around the world. While gambling on web poker, another side of Hansen has been seen. He regularly plays in the 200/400 No Limit max buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Hansen usually buys in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very weak. He waits patiently for a good hand and then pushes all-in. I know Hansen is a great poker player but not even close to the everyday players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is broke, he has absolutely no reason to settle at the game with the minimum buy-in.

Buying in for the minimum takes most of the expertise out of big stack poker. Hansen is accepted to be one of the greatest poker players in the world but he can’t buy in for the full amt.. I believe television can skew our view of the real world sometimes. The greatest poker players in the world might be players you have won’t have heard of before. Gus can be found gambling on net poker on Full Tilt. He commonly participates in big stakes omaha/8 and Holdem. Gus has proven himself as a competition player. Can he use his skills in money games?
