Double-hand Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the eastern with the western in an excellent game for early level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the casino, unlike almost all other poker games that gamblers wager against other players. By gambling against the dealer, beginner players don’t need to fret about other, more knowledgeable people taking their money.

Another Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game play, novices are able to take their time and strategize while not having to make hasty selections.

It’s also easier to wager on for a very long time with basically a tiny amount of money since, to lose, both of your hands needs to be under each of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card common deck and a single joker. The player is given 7 cards faces showing and the casino gets seven cards face down.

One five card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the houses.
